HER OWN MUSIC follows Maddie, the school captain of a private catholic girl’s school and the epitome of the perfect student. Six months away from graduating, she has great grades, a good relationship with her teachers, a close if not clique-y group of friends and has gotten to where she is in life by never failing to be what people want her to be. When Maddie is asked to tutor Tessa in reading music, the two form an unlikely friendship… their lessons alone become a place where the two of them can be themselves.  But when their friendship suddenly blossoms into a romance, it becomes clear that their natural ease with each other runs deeper than they realised.
